Nikhil Kanetkar Badminton Academy (NKBA), which was launched on 14th March 2011 for developing world class players, became operational in April 2011. The academy based at the Mahalunge - Balewadi Sports Complex and was inaugurated by Dr. Manik Thosare, Deputy Director Sports and Youth Services, Government of Maharashtra. The training being imparted under the following categories:

The Nikhil Kanetkar Badminton Academy (NKBA) is promoted by Olympian Nikhil Kanetkar- a renowned former International player who represented India in almost all major international tournaments for 15 years. Nikhil Kanetkar is now the Director and Head Coach in this academy.
